September 14-16th Triboriginal Asheville, NC Classes: Dancing in 6/8 The driving beat of 6/8 won't let go once it has you! Variations of 6/8 are played in many diverse contries, especially Moroco, Tunisia, Persia, and Uzbekistan. Kamille will play examples of the different feels of 6/8, along with moves specific to dancing in this relentless, symmetrical rhythm. Take it up a notch and bring finger cymbals to class!
Slinky Chifte Get into the groove and feel the slow sensuousness of the slinky Chiftetelli 8/8 rhythm. This rhythm is the perfect blend of long sexy pulls and sharp accents to create interesting and sexy moves. Kamille will cover the Chiftetelli, zill patterns to flow with the musicians, snakey moves, and fantastic combos to groove the slinky Chifte. Put on by Onca and Baraka Mundii, this looks to be a great event!!!!! Kamille and Marli will be there with Zoom and Ari. We'll be vending and performing in Saturday night's show. Kamille is teaching and performing at this 2 week event with all her favorite people- Blue Lotus Tribe, Romka, Kassar, Zafira, Khafif, Gypsyville, Naughty Nomads, Baraka Mundi, Awalim, and many other fantastic dancers. Definitely a great event.
August 1- 5th Tribal Quest Portland, OR Kamille and our new RockaChick Noelle will be there with spikes on! We can't wait for this event. Big yet cozy. Come see Kamille's solo at the Thursday night showcase and burn some midnight oil in our fire show at the Friday night afterarty! Kamille is also hawking some great stuff, stop by the booth and chat.
